Marvin currently manages the company’s business development and organizational planning group. During his career, he has implemented systems for a wide range of organizations with a variety of software applications including Macola, IBM RS 6000 Unix solutions and Microsoft Dynamics Navision. Since founding Micro DataNet over 20 years ago. His primary focus lies in integrating new technologies and applications to improve business processes.
Prior to Micro DataNet, Marvin served as a CFO at Johnson & Johnson Special Research Group and financial director at Ortho Pharmaceuticals. As Director of Finance at Bausch & Lomb he restructured business & financial processes as B&L transitioned to a consumer company. He also gained valuable experience in the chemical industry as controller with Tenneco Chemicals and project management accounting at Tishman Realty & Construction in NY.
He holds an economics degree from The City University of New York and an MBA in Quantitative Analysis from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He has also completed advanced accounting studies at Pace University. In a national competition, Marvin was awarded the Small Business Administration achievement citation for his work in helping struggling businesses overcome their most challenging issues and regain profitability.
Marvin is a member of Vistage International and is often called upon to deliver presentations to professional groups emphasizing the importance of the changing environment that businesses must now recognize and how to best use technology to survive.
As a founder and CEO of Micro DataNet, Scott is responsible for all aspects of business operations, technical development and often directs the larger client projects. He is also actively involved with the development and application programming required for advancing Micro DataNet’s industry solutions. With his unique skill set as both a CPA and Certified Information Technology Professional. He has been recognized by the AICPA for his comprehensive business experience and has met the rigorous standards of the AICPA to achieve elite status.
As a Microsoft Certified Professional, with numerous NAV certifications he uniquely bridges the gap between ERP, CRM, eCommerce technology with the financial implications of system implementations. He also possesses an in-depth knowledge of Micro DataNet’s distribution and manufacturing industry solutions developed within the Navision platform that have been field proven and have generated significant efficiencies for some of the largest Navision installations.
Scott in addition to being a CPA and serving many years in public accounting, holds an MBA in Management Information Systems from the Stern Business School at NYU and a degree in Accounting from the City University of New York. Scott is also a member of Vistage International where he engages with other CEO’s to address common business issues and gain better insight into best practices.
